Another visit to the camp by an elephant this morning. Same routine as yesterday, except we moved right back after the elephant went behind the camp.
Plus there were the usual elephants in the camp marsh...
and just outside camp on the way to the airstrip.
Had to take a last minute picture of a warthog lamp at the camp...for a friend who loves warthogs.
Then it was off to the nearby airstrip for our flight to Nairobi. There was an abandon, partially stripped aircraft at the strip. The previous year it had hit a wildebeest on the airstrip (either during take off or landing, depending on who is telling the story). No serious injuries, except to the wildebeest, as the propeller hit him.
The flight to Nairobi was pretty uneventful. We were met at the airport by Isaac and taken to a clinic to get our COVID tests. Then we were off to our hotel where we had a late lunch and settled in to relax and do some repacking.
We had a quiet afternoon
and evening.
